Education Baldy Bane has been actively involved in various Local Authority enterprise projects with individual schools. Alison Couston has acted as a business adviser to both Castlemilk and King's Park learning communities within Glasgow City Council. Baldy Bane work in collaboration with education and social work agencies to create tailor-made productions which highlight many issues facing young people today. Our latest projects : Cyberspyder is an educational resource, first commissioned by Dundee and Angus Councils to tackle the problem of misuse of the internet by predatory paedophiles, who groom children through social networking sites. The production also deals with the growing incidence of cyber-bullying among young people via new technologies. Why Create a Drama is an applied theatre process that spans both primary and secondary education and was commissioned by the National Children and Young Persons’ Network. Using interactive and cognitive behaviour techniques and generating scenarios devised from the young people themselves, the workshops stimulate participants to explore their own actions, reactions and choices. |
