Why Create a Drama

Two plays were created through a series of interactive workshops over two 5-week periods with children and young people. The primary strand play is called Gold Stars and Dragon Marks and addresses the difficulties children living in a domestic abuse situation face at school. It is followed by a workshop to stimulate discussion. The secondary strand play was previously called A Big Boy Done It and Ran Away, but after the production of the DVD, is now called "Crush"and looks at the influences on young people and particularly at teen abuse within relationships. This is also followed by a workshop.

A tour is being planned for November/ December to be included in the 16 Days of Action to combat Domestic Abuse 2010. Please contact the office for details

The Scottish Government funded the production of 2 DVD screenplays of the above productions, which have now been produced and edited by Soundsmove and given to the National Children & Young People's Prevention Network.
