Written in consultation with Women's Aid and Rape Crisis, A Day In The Life is intended as a training resource and reference for staff from various benefits agencies, local councils and Social Work who deal with abuse victims seeking accommodation, information or help in other areas

Escaping an abusive husband, Donna has to organise emergency benefits payments; keep her children's schools updated on the situation; talk to Social Work, lawyers and her doctor. On top of that, Donna and the children are currently staying with her mother, who is finding the kids, the situation and Donna's husband's threatening calls too much to cope with, leaving Donna needing to find accommodation

In one day Donna’s situation shows how daunting it is for a victim of domestic abuse to actually leave the family home
